If not stealing (which it is), its definitely highly unethical. Its not like you are just walking by...you actually have to find out where one of those hotels are, drive there, park there, and then mozy in acting like you are a customer! What do you do if they ask if you stayed at the hotel last night? Lie? Or is that just creative storytelling in one word?

hi all,
I like to do.In Germany, hitchhiking is a way of life. It’s easy, safe, and fun. Hitchhiking to Munich once, I walked to the outskirts of town, and by the highway to Munich, there were several abandoned hitchhiking signs that just said “M.” I picked one up, held it up, and had a ride within a minute.

Thanks for writing about The Caretaker Gazette. They have the best website I have found for rent-free living. I used to pay $865/month in rent - and now I'm living rent-free as a result of house sitting opportunities from their site.

Awesome, this post is just what I needed. I'm 10 weeks in and getting bored of dreary hotels and want a more cultural experience.

Great post.

I'd love to know, too. How do you do it? When I looked into it years ago, it seemed like such a long shot, I never pursued it.

I would love to have any tips or information your can provide.

thanks

Hello,

The choice to go anywhere is the big problem with jobs. Travel writers get paid or sponsored to lie about the place in return for a free travel.

Definitely free mile is not free, but hitchhiking is, and so is couch surfing.

I have traveled for 11 years perpetually and visited 85 countries. When I first started traveling for the first three years I traded making a webpage for free room. The biggest cost for a person unless they are a drunk.

Transportation is about 400 dollars per jump, so you cannot jump much.

I have devised a great way to live for free and brain dead easy.

Make an advertisment or submit an advertisment for a hotel. Hotels need incoming links, this site. Live free HoboHideOut.com

You take 60 photos and this is value enough to live for 10-15 days, it is not a difficult trade if the Hotel understands, the more expensive hotels understand marketing better than the cheap. Find a hotel in low season, this also helps.

This is sustainable and does not require you to go to specific locations, you can choose the country and location.
Andy Graham
11 years of perpetual travel.
