If you want all the benefits and prestige associated with a platinum card, without incurring the extortionate costs, then the ANZ Platinum card is the one for you. The card is quite literally jam-packed full of benefits, with the added bonus that it doesn’t have to cost a penny! If this tickles your fancy then read on for our full review.

The Card’s Best Features

As mentioned already, the ANZ Platinum doesn’t need to cost you a thing! If you use your card regularly, and spend $20,000 or more per annum then the annual fee is waived. However, fear not! If you don’t class yourself as a big spender but still want to take advantage of the Platinum card benefits, then the normal annual fee is just $0 p.a., which is extremely competitive when you compare to other platinum credit cards on the market.

The ANZ Platinum card isn’t just cheap, it’s got a host of exclusive benefits, only available to ANZ customers. These include flexible payment options, allowing you to enjoy a lower purchase rate to pay for things such as holidays, flights and hotels.

ANZ have also thrown in a whole host of different insurance cover, including complimentary overseas travel and medical cover – just perfect if you travel for business or leisure! The card also gives all members complimentary car rental cover, protecting you fully, should the worst happen.

The ANZ Platinum credit card also comes with a good level of payment protection. Cardholders can benefit from extended warranty cover – doubling the manufacturer’s warranty by up to 12 months. There’s also 90 day purchase security insurance, which protects you against, the theft, loss or damage of a range of items purchased using the credit card.

With all these great benefits and 55 days interest free on all purchases, it’s only a matter of time before other members of your family want a slice of the action – well fear not! You can easily add up to nine additional cardholders to your account at no additional cost.

Are There Any Drawbacks?

Unfortunately, the credit card doesn’t come with a rewards program, which is a feature of many other platinum cards featured on our site. Nor does it have a balance transfer offer. Also, ANZ are looking for applicants with quite a high minimum annual income ($50,000).

Who Would be Suited?

The ANZ Platinum account is best suited to those of you who spend regularly, and will take advantage of the insurance cover and payment protection cover. It’s also ideal for those of you who like to travel – not only are you fully protected but you can save money on your holiday with the lower payment interest rate.

Who is Eligible?

If you are earning $50,000 per annum or more and are over the age of 18, then you’re in with a shot of being approved! You will also need to be a permanent resident of Australia with good credit to take advantage of the ANZ card.

Conclusion

If you a considering splashing out on travel and medical insurance or perhaps looking to cover yourself for car hire, then why not consider applying for the Platinum credit card from ANZ.
