The Citibank Rewards Credit Card – Classic is full of rewards, from points to VIP service and everything in between. If you are interested in a card that offers a wide range of benefits to both pleasure and business users, you may have found the answer. Read on for our full review to learn more.
Benefit of the Card’s Best Features?
As the name suggests, the best feature of this card is the reward program. With your first purchase you will be awarded %(Sign Up Bonus)s to get you started. While the bonus points are a great start, there is more to this card. Instead, you will continue to earn one point for every $1 spent. This earn rate compares favourably with other gold level credit cards. Once you collect enough points, you can begin to cash them in for cash back rewards, gift certificates and merchandise, and books flights through the Citibank Take Flight program.
What about the VIP service? With the Citibank Rewards – Classic in hand, you will receive a free bottle of wine every time you sit down to dine at participating restaurants. This is thanks in large part to the card’s participation in Citibank’s Dining Program.
One final benefit that is overlooked time after time is the fact that you can add up to four additional cardholders for only %(Additional Card Fee)s per card. Along with this, the minimum age of the additional cardholders is only 16 – this is perfect for parents who want to give their children access to their credit card to rack up more points.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
There are a couple of potential drawbacks to be aware of. The most prominent is the %(Annual Fee)s annual fee. So you have to ask yourself if you are willing to pay this fee every year in return for the ability to use your card and take advantage of the many benefits detailed above?
Along with the annual fee, there is a %(Purchase Rate)s standard interest rate and %(Cash Advance Rate)s p.a. cash advance rate. The standard interest rate on purchases is about average, and therefore it’s possible to find other cheaper cards. Also, there is no introductory offer for purchases.
Finally, the maximum credit limit is only %(Maximum Credit Limit)s. For some, especially those interested in large purchases, this is too low.
Who Would be Suited?
The Citibank Rewards – Classic is a great choice for anyone interested in taking advantage of a top flight reward program as well as many other benefits.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for the Citibank Rewards credit card – Classic you must meet several requirements including: at least 18 years of age; earn a taxable income of at least %(Minimum Income)s per year; have at least a good credit rating; and be a permanent resident of Australia. As you can see, the eligibility requirements are well achievable for most people.
