When you get to the top, expect the best. NAB’s Qantas Platinum credit card offer is the travelling businessman’s best friend offering an exceptional rewards points earn rate, a host of security and convenience features and the very best platinum cards have to offer for a comparably low annual fee.
Benefit of the Card’s Best Features?
First up, the NAB Platinum account comes with two cards for the price of one. You get a NAB Qantas Platinum American Express card for maximum points earning and a NAB Qantas Platinum Visa card for added worldwide acceptance.
The NAB Qantas Platinum card gives you complimentary enrolment in the Qantas Frequent Flyer rewards program, saving you over $80 right away (assuming you don’t already have an account set up). Everybody wants to earn points on their daily spending and with the platinum card you’ll earn faster than ever. At 1.5 QFF points per $1 spent, you’ve never seen points stack up so fast ready for you to redeem on flights, gift vouchers, merchandise and more. You’ll also be pleased to know that points are uncapped, so the sky is the limit in terms of points earning potential. That well-earned break could be yours simply for using your card thanks to the Qantas rewards program and your platinum status.
Platinum cards are usually a traveller’s dream and this is no exception. Simply by being a NAB Qantas Platinum cardholder, you will enjoy complimentary insurances including overseas travel, interstate flight inconvenience, domestic hotel burglary, transport accident, extended warranty, purchase protection and price protection, potentially saving you hundreds and giving you peace of mind as you travel, knowing that you’re covered. Additionally, you’ll have a personal assistant available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help you organise things like where to eat out, booking tickets and much more so you can focus on business or whatever you need to do that’s more important.
As an American Express cardholder you’ll have access to their Entre Program, a collection of premium offers created by American Express for their distinguished cardholders. Prestige is truly the name of the game here.
Visa now allows you the ease of contactless payments for purchases under $100 thanks to their PayWave technology. Just wave and go. Save time on all the little things when life is busy!
Of course you get everything you’d normally expect too. Great security, competitive interest rates and a low $290 p.a. annual fee when you consider what you’re getting.
Are There Any Drawbacks?
Actually, not many at all. You don’t get an additional cardholder, the 4.99% p.a. for 6 months balance transfer offer isn’t the best, so you don’t really want to be transferring much debt across to this card. Make sure the card will get you more in benefits than what the annual fee is costing you and always pay your balance every month. After all, any credit card is only as good as its user!
Who Would be Suited?
A platinum card doesn’t suit just anyone. In this case you need to earn at least $65,000 plus and you’d benefit most from the card if you’re a high spender and regular traveller. Otherwise you’d end up simply paying for the privilege of being a platinum cardholder, without actually earning any real points.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for this card you need to be over 18, earn more than $65,000 per year, have an excellent credit rating and be an Australian resident. Is that you? Then definitely consider this card.
